The coffee here at work is the worst. One sip and you want to spit it out of your mouth. It is bitter, stale, and down right repulsive.
True story: One day while standing in the cafeteria chatting and waiting for a new brew, the CEO walked in. He was anticipating a fresh cup too. But after taking a sip, he dumped it in the sink and stormed out in disgust.
Conversely, there are some folks here who really believe that when they brew a new pot, it is “fresh”. Or they will put two bags of coffee in the filter to make it stronger.
Please don’t do this.
Bad coffee twice as strong is twice as bad. What are they thinking? The sad thing is — I drink it anyway. Even though it’s horrible. It’s there and it’s free. And I need the caffeine.
What is the coffee like at your workplace?

Hi! We're Joe and Monica, The Coffee Couple. If you love coffee as much as we do, pour yourself a mug and pull up a chair to join the conversation as we talk everything java.
Nice blog!! Bad Coffee at work seems to be a common thing… I know exactly how you feel there! Maybe we should do something about it.. start campaigning for great coffee in the workplace!! Hehe!! I hope you at least have a great cafe in walking distance from your work? I’m lucky to have one so it’s not so bad
CoffeeKiwi, I just can’t drink that stuff any more. I switched to tea at work. Brought in some loose leaf wulong.
I’m fortunate enough to live in a town of baristas and former baristas so my co-workers are intensely passionate about their java. That said, coffee left sitting isn’t the greatest. However all the required accoutrements are available to make a brilliant brew…all I need to do now is not be so darn lazy…
Eric, I wish it were so where I work. It’s the cheapest they can find. And it’s just as cheap tasting.
Ours was always DISGUSTING! When I first started roasting, I would bring my coffee in and convince people to drink it. THEN, the company started making better coffee purchasing decisions lol!
Kaye, I ended up bringing my own 4 cup coffee pot. Me and a buddy enjoy top notch coffee most days. Plus I get to try my #coffeeExperiments out.
